Pleasing Lycra Swimsuit, April 24, 2009 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Speedo Race Xtra Life Lycra Solid Superpro Swimsuit (Apparel) I recommend going up one jean size in this suit. I like the fit and it is modest enough for a plus size woman. The only thing I would've liked to have seen changed on this was an addition of a shelf bra. I read a review here that said the shelf bra was not needed--I disagree. Although I wouldn't return this suit, I miss the shelf bra. I'm a 38 DD and it supports me enough to get by, but I would like extra support. Just my opinion.

They have withstood numerous swims. I usually rinse with cool water and wash them once a week in a swimsuit cleaner. I have noticed that the red one is tighter(shorter) that the others. I have two of these in Black and Red ones. I am online now to find the cheapest way to buy two more.

Please be aware that while the color descriptor says "Deep Maroon", the picture that comes up is a brilliant candy apple red. She loved the brilliant red one in the photo, so she was very disappointed to find out that the suit really is a deep maroon. Pretty, but not what shows up in the picture when you're selecting the color and size to order. It's a shame, because I also ordered the Speedo red swim cap for her, which matches the picture, but not the actual suit.
